The GED test will be administered at Reid State Technical College. A valid picture ID is required for test application and testing. Letters of approval are also required for persons under the age of 18. GED testing is $40.00. Students attending GED classes and receiving approval from the instructor are allowed to test free of charge. If you have taken the test before, please bring a copy of test scores. The 39th annual Ledkins Family Reunion, descendants of Sarah Thompson and Joseph L. Ledkins, will be held at 4:30 p.m. at David's Catfish in Atmore on Friday. On Saturday, the reunion will be at the Byrneville Community Center beginning at 10 a.m. Attendees are asked to bring a vegetable, a dessert and something for a silent auction. Earnest Ward in Walnut Hill will have a "Class Get Together" since Dennis Dortch is home. The event will be held on Saturday, June 12 at the Atmore Park from 1 – 3 p.m. His sisters, Martha, Gail and Kay will also be there. Bring your lawn chairs and pass the word around! Victory Community Church, Hobbs Circle in Robinsonville, will hold a fish fry beginning at 10 a.m. with plates served at 11 a.m. There will be gospel music, a cake walk, horseshoes game, auction, etc. Everyone is invited to attend. Disposal of worn and tattered American Flags at 8 p.m. behind the VFW Fellowship and Memorial Hall on Ashley Street. Atmore area citizens are asked to bring their flags for burning or drop them in advance at the American Legion Building on Church Street or the VFW Fellowship and Memorial Hall. The general public is invited to attend.

Perfect Game Softball will be hosting an Identification (Exposure) Camp at Troy State University for softball player's ages 13-18 interested in showcasing their skills in front of Perfect Game Scouts. Results of the assessment will be placed on our official website, as well as sent out to college coaches nation-wide. Catfish Fry at Huxford Volunteer Fire Department on Old Front Street. It will last from 4 to 6 p.m. The plates will be $5.00 each.
Car Wash at Feaster Tires from 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go to the ECHS Volleyball Team.

The BIA- Rosenwald- Union High School National Alumni Association, Inc. will hold its16th annual session at the Baptist Center on Clausell Road in Monroeville. Alumni will gather Friday evening 7-9 p.m. for fellowship and renewal. The National Board will meet at l0:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Annual Luncheon will follow the Board Meeting at 11:00 a.m. Alumni and friends are invited to share the luncheon program.
