Isreal "Shag" McMillian
Mr. Isreal McMillian, 68, of Atmore, died July 24, 2004 at Atmore Community Hospital.
He was born September 24, 1935 to Isreal McMilian and Victoria Williams. He was a former employee of the Escambia County Board of Education as a bus driver, a volunteer fireman with the Atmore Fire Department and a custodian at Greenlawn Pharmacy and the State of Alabama Department of Corrections,
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McMillan, his brother, Theoples McMillan; an aunt, Mamie Moore and two stepsons, Victor Dickerson and Johnny Dickerson.
He is survived by a daughter, Angelina Knight and husband Thomas; stepchildren Mayola Smith and husband Joe, Barbara Rostchild, Theresa White and husband Frederick, Kenneth Dickerson and wife Margare, Gregory Dickerson and wife Veronica, Timothy Dickerson and wife Shalonda, Calvin Dickerson and Robert Valentine; a sister, Elizabeth Moore; an aunt, Louise Sims; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Services were held Friday, July 30 at Jones Street True Pentacostal Holiness Church with Bishop Willie Lyons and Bishop P. McMillian officiating.
Ida P. Lambert
Mrs. Ida P. Lambert, 68, of Atmore, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
