Myrl Lee McClain
Ms. Myrl Lee McClain, 60, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at her residence. She was a native and resident of Century. She worked as a dietary supervisor with the Atmore Community Hospital for over 10 years and also worked at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton and at Jay Hospital. She was affiliated with Edward Point Christian Church in Century and was preceded in death by her father, Howard Rue Sr.; her mother, Bessie Payne McClain and a sister, Mamie Hughes.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Madison and Pamala McClain, both of Century; five sisters, Barbara Wesley of Flomaton and Fannie Mae Carter, Ethel McMurray, Jean Crawford and Elizabeth Gee, all of Cleveland, Ohio; four brothers, Charles King of Hampton, Va., Elijah King and Pat King, both of Cleveland and Howard Rue Jr. of Vallejo., Calif.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Edward Point Christian Church with the Rev. Lamar Randal officiating. Burial followed at Century Cemetery.

Luverne P. Dorriety
Mrs. Luverne P. Dorriety, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in Atmore. She was a native of Escambia County, Ala. and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence "Jack" Dorriety; a son, Clarence Winston "Pete" Dorriety and a grandson.
She is survived by three sons, Herson Dorriety and John Dorriety, both of Atmore and Roy Dorriety of Attala; one daughter, Dorothy Dorriety of Atmore; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Nall officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Atmore.

Joan Roley Williams
Mrs. Joan Roley Williams, 71, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at her residence. She was a native of Bratt, Fla. and retired from the Department of Defense as a court reporter.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Lee and Scott Lee, both of Atmore; three daughters, Randye DeGuire of Vienna, Va. and Jana Godwin and Julie Wilkerson, both of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, James Roley of Atmore; three sisters, Louise Rogers of Jacksonville, Fla., Eva Bumpus of Deltoa, Fla. and Ernestine Harris of Atmore; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marcus Caraway officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery in Bratt with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Michael Roley, Bob DeGuire, Jon Maucher, Andrew Maucher, Chris Maucher and Lee Wilkerson, Honorary pallbearers were George "Sonny" Harris, Larry Wilkerson and Steve Davis.
Johnson-Quimby is in charge of arrangements.
Carra Ikner Green
Ms. Carra Ikner Green died at her residence Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, after an extended illness. She was a life-long resident of the Poarch community, a member of First Assembly of God in Atmore and a retired cafeteria worker with the Alabama education system. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth E. Green; her brothers, Lewis Ikner, Charles Ikner and Bobby Ikner and a sister, Harriet Smith.
She is survived by her children, Linda Miller of West Palm Beach, Fla., Judy Kirby of Poarch, William Earl Green of Pineville, La., Louise Stanford of Castleberry; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great step-grandchildren; one great-great step-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Davis officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel directing.
Pallbearers were Charles Wilson, Norman Wilson, Ray Biggs, Michael Stanford,Scott Stanford and Brian Green.

Willis Elbert "Pete" Thompson
Mr. Willis Elbert "Pete" Thompson, 96, of Wallace Road, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Wallace. He was a member of Wallace Methodist Church and owned Thompson's Grocery in Wallace for 75 years.
He is survived by two sons, Ed Wayne Thompson and Willis Thompson, both of Wallace; three daughters, Rosemary Thompson Dixon and Lucy Thompson, both of Brewton, and Linda Thompson Tilley of Cullman; 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Coburn officiating. Burial followed at Wallace Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Mitchell Lee, Ronnie Dixon, Shawn Jones, Brian Thompson, Lee Thompson and Scotty Herndon.
Williams Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Bobby Lee Rone
Rev. Bobby Lee Rone, 69, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, in Birmingham. He was a
native and prior resident of Mobile. He was a retired Southern Baptist minister and served in the following churches, Blue Lake Baptist, Chipley, Fla.; Millry Baptist Church, Millry, Ala.; St. Stephens Baptist Church, St. Stephens, Ala.; First Baptist Church, East Brewton; Shadowlawn Baptist Church, Prichard; Alco Baptist Church, Brewton; Refuge Baptist Church, Tallassee and Springhill Avenue Baptist Church where he retired in 2001. He served as a chaplain for 10 years with Alabama State Troopers. He was a member of Lafitte Baptist Church in Saraland and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Rone of Birmingham; two sons, James Phillip Rone of Prattville and Paul Lee Rone of Thomasville; a daughter, Lori Paige Rone of Birmingham and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. at Lafitte Baptist Church with the Rev. David Atchison officiating. Graveside services were held Wednesday at noon at Hill Cemetery in Copeland with Freeman Funeral Services, Inc. of Citronelle directing.

Annie Spears
Mrs. Annie Spears, 65, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ganie Spears and her parents, Jimmy and Annie Stanley. She was an active member of Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Smith and Tiffany Smith, both of Brewton; six sons, Tony Stanley, Bruce Spears and Ganie Spears, all of Brewton, Clinton Spears and Ricky Spears, both of Pensacola, Fla. and Gregory Spears of Birmingham; one sister, Juanita Culliver of Brewton; one brother, Jim Stanley of Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating.
Burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery.

Clyde Edward Johnson
Mr. Clyde Edward Johnson, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native and life-time resident of Century. He attended the Baptist church and was a member of the Masons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Johnson; a son, Ricky Hendrix and a sister, Margarite Harold.
He is survived by a friend, Burnette Prim of Century; five sons, Tim Johnson of Cantonment, Fla., Jim Johnson of Flomaton, Lamar Hendrix of Byrneville, Fla., Terry Hendrix of Festus, Mo., and Lavon Hendrix of Little Washington, N.C.; three daughters, Jeannine Moye of Atmore, Linda Kay Zimlich of Bay Minette and Ruby White of Flomaton; three brothers, Bobby Johnson of Lenox, Earl Johnson of Brewton and Melvin Johnson of Jay, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jason White, James Floyd, Josh Hendrix, Ricky Rutherford, Spencer Harris, Tommy Kimmons and Jack Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Masons.

Robert Nicholas Kennedy and Ashley Nicole Kennedy
Infants Robert Nicholas Kennedy and Ashley Nicole Kennedy, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at a Pensacola hospital. They were preceded in death by their grandmother, Dean Kennedy and great-grandparents, Bill Thoris, Ruth Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Early Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Harless.
They are survived by their parents, Jeff and Kelly Kennedy of Mexia; grandparents, Thomas and Ellen Kennedy of Franklin and Robert and Diann Stewart of Bratt; great-grandparents, Estelle Thortis of Christian Home, Fla. and Jack Stewart of Bratt; a brother, Tanner Kennedy of Excel and a number of other relatives.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 5, at 4:30 p.m. at the Christian Home Cemetery in McDavid, Fla. with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
