Obituaries for December 12, 2004 edition of the Atmore Advance
John "Bebo" Bossard
Mr. John Wesley "Bebo" Bossard, 70, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 in Atmore,
Mr. Bossard was a native Of Coy, a former resident of Stockton, and a resident of Atmore for the past 5 years. He spent 15 years in the Army, where he was a paratrooper, making over 200 jumps. He was a loving Husband, Father Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. He loved fishing, and attended Lotte Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his Parents , John and Alice Bossard, a Granddaughter,Star, two sisters, Violet and Nora and a brother, Fred.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Janie Bossard of Perdido four sons, Casey and Brenda Bossard Of Dallas, TX, Wesley and Tina Bossard Of Clarksburg, TN, Bubba and Kay Bossard of Perdido and Billy and Kasey Bossard of Perdido, four daughters, Sharon Ann and Jeff Bibbs of Clarksville, TN, Sharon Kaye and Pee-Wee Thomas of Perdido, Lorretta and Boyd Cooley of Perdido, and Lisa and Dennis Ochsenbine of St. Claire, Miss.; two sisters, Bertha and Bruce Reed of Bay Minette and Mary Guy of Bay Minette; 24 Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday Dec. 10, 2004 at the Lottie Baptis Church with Bro. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wade Guice
Mr. Wade William Guide, Sr., 86, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004 at a local hospital.
Mr. Guice was a native of Natchez, Miss. and a resident of Flomaton since 1969. He was a loving father, grandfather and attended Century Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne M. Guice.
Survivors include a son, Wade, W. Guice Jr. of Flomaton, two daughters, Wanda M. and Evon Johnson of Flomaton and Cheryl L. and Randy Turner of Flomaton; two brothers, L. Kenneth and Dorothy Guice of Paulsbo, Wash. and Joe W. and Velma Guice of Kemmer, Wyo.; a sister, Eva Louise and Myles Grissett of Shreveport, La. 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren/
Funeral services were held Dec. 10, 2004 at Eastside Funeral Home with Min. Clifford Dixon officiating. Burial followed at Hollywood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Wayne Carnley Jr., Wesley Bonner, Manual Guice, Joshua Turner, Jeremy Lowry and Randy Turner.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Delois Martin
Ms. Delois Martin, 60, of Atmore, died Dec. 6, 2004 at her residence.
Ms. Martin was a native of Wilcox County and a resident of Atmore for many years. She attended Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Atmore and worked as a burler for Masland Carpet. She graduated from Escambia County Training School in 1963.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bella Mae Martin.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane Martin of Atmore, a son Clinton and wife Linda McCants of Huntsville, seven sisters, Betty and Burrel Young of Mobile, Shirley McCants of Pensacola, Fla., Nellita and Frank Moye of Cantonment, Fla., Verna and Warren Malden of Birmingham, Ruby and Curtis Tucker, Debra McCants and Eunice McCants, all of Atmore; one brother John and wife Natalie McCants Jr of Ft. Levenworth Kan.; father John McCants of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at Ebnezer Lutheran Church in Atmore with Rev. Moses Clark officiating. Burial followed in Stallworth Cemetery.
Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Joe Frank Kearley
Joe Frank Kearley, 81, died Friday in Mobile. He was a native of
Robinsonville and was an Army Veteran of World War II serving in the
European Theatre. He spent most of his career in civil service and retired
in 1974. He was an active member of the Robinsonville Community until his
recent move to Hollinger's Island. He was a member of the Hollinger's
Island Baptist Church and a past member of Robinsonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Kearley of Mobile; a brother, Benny
Kearley of Seattle, WA; four sons, Jerry Kearley of Atmore, Doug Kearley of
Coden, Denny Kearley of Daphne and Greg Kearley of Lafayette, LA; six
grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Kearley was an anatomical donor to the University of South Alabama
College of Medicine. A memorial service was held at Hollinger's Island
Baptist Church on Sunday, December 5, 2004. In lieu of flowers, the
family has requested that donations be made to Hollinger's Island Baptist
Church in Mobile or Robinsonville Baptist Church.
