Bay Minette – Mr. Willard D. Hicks, age 86, passed away Thursday, Jan. 20 in Bay Minette. Formerly of Atmore, he was a retired service inspector with Brooklyn Field.
He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Flomaton Masonic Lodge and a life time member of the American Legion Post #90.
He is survived by one son, Michael L. Hicks of Pensacola; one daughter, Joyce Elaine Graham of Seattle; three brothers, Walter Dempsey Hicks of Perdido, and W.D. and Julius Hicks of Grand Bay; three sisters, Goldie Hall of Grand Bay, and Ruby Flowers and Eva Ward Dryson of Saraland, Ala.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Jan. 22 at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Sandra C. Mayer officiating. The family received friends earlier that day at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
Julia Alma Dunn
ATMORE – Mrs. Julia Alma Dunn, age 96, passed away Jan. 18 in Brewton. She was a native of McCullough, Ala. and a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Dunn of Fayetteville, N.C.; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 20 at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating.
The family received friends Jan. 19 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
Minnie Lois Garrett
WALNUT HILL – Mrs. Minnie Lois Garrett, age 66 passed away Jan. 24 in Pensacola. She was a native of Atmore and a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Larry Condrey of Walnut Hill; three grandchildren and special friend Hubert Bryars of Walnut Hill.
Services will be held Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Barron Cemetery, Davisville, Fla. The family received friends Tuesday, January 25 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Andrew Nelson
ATMORE – Mr. Andrew Nelson, age 66, passed away Tuesday, January 25 at an Atmore Nursing Care Center.
Arrangements will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Elizabeth Riley
DETROIT – Mrs. Elizabeth Riley, formerly of Atmore, passed away Jan. 24 at Providence Hospital in Detroit.
