James l. Moye
Atmore – Mr. James L. Moye, 85, passed away Jan. 30 at a local hospital.
Mr. Moye was a native of Moyeville, Ala. and a resident of Atmore for the past 47 years. He served with the Alabama State Road Department, retiring after 30 years service. He attended the Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Kendrell Moye of Canoe and Dennis Moye of Nokomis; three daughters, Dorothy Taylor and Margie Shipp of Atmore, and Shirley Nesbitt of Mobile; two sisters, Mary Roberson of Flomaton and Lucille Roberson of Pensacola; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 1 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Gladdin Mothershed and Rev. Leon Lyles officiating.
Graveside services followed at Miller Cemetery.
Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 31 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Edward Earl Caraway
Atmore – Earl Caraway, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 28. He was a retired employee of the State of Alabama Department of Corrections.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Earl Caraway of Pensacola and Randy Edward Caraway of Elbert, Ala.; one daughter, Shelby Jean Howard of Pensacola; three brothers, Mack and Dewey Caraway of Mobile, and Colin Caraway of Atmore; two sisters, Doris McGrew of Crestview and Dorothy Morrow of Mobile; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A wake was held Monday, Jan. 31. Funeral Services were held Feb. 1 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore with Joel McGrew officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of all arrangements.
Thera Wright Turk
Atmore – Mrs. Thera Wright Turk, age 88, of Atmore passed away Saturday, January 29 in Foley. She was a homemaker and a native of Mobile.
She is survived by one son, Donald Turk of Gulf Shores; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Dukes officiating. Graveside Services will follow in Huxford Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Feb. 2 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Mamie Lou Walston
Byrneville, Fla. – Mrs. Mamie Lou Walston, age 89, passed away Feb. 1 in Century.
Mrs. Walston was a native of Jay and a resident of Byrneville for the past 58 years.
She is survived by her son, Guyzell Walston of Byrneville; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 3 at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Harper and Rev. Joseph Horst officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Traveler's Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Feb. 2 between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
