The Atmore Cal Ripken T-Ball League got off to a flying start over the weekend, holding Opening DAy on Saturday.
Results of the games are as follows.
Scramblers 19
James Gang 12
The Scramblers, coached by Nehemiah Cooler and sponsored by Huddle House, took on the James Gang, coached by Ethan Allen and sponsored by Atmore Insurance on Opening Day. The Scramblers took a wild one 19-12.
Leading Scramblers were Kristen Byrd, who scored three runs; Devon Robinson, three runs; Nytorious Cooler, three runs, three RBI, and three doubles; Carlos McNeal, three runs, four RBI, and one double; Jessica Sanspree, three runs, two RBI, and one double; Thomas Knight, Jr., three runs, two RBI; Dallas Lindsey, one run and one RBI; Mary Elizabeth Rolin, two RBI; Brea Thomas, three RBI; Hunter Mosley, one RBI, and Charlie Gandy, one RBI.
Leading the James Gang were Ryan Johnson with one RBI; Stephen Gehman, one RBI; Eric McCaskill, one RBI; Blake Allen, four RBI; Anthony Betts, one RBI; Malik Brown, one RBI; Tyler Jackson, two RBI; and Auburn Bailey, one RBI.
Challengers 27
Falcons 22
The Challengers, coached by Donavon Brown, and the Falcons, coached by Greye Emmons, squared off in a slugfest on Opening Day.
Leaders for the Falcons were Alayna Brown, with one run and four RBI; Jared Morris, two runs and one RBI; Jade Brooks, two runs and one RBI; Jacob Weaver, two runs and one RBI; Madilyn Kent, one run and two RBI; Hunter Edwards, two runs and two RBI; Imigin Richardson four runs and one RBI; John Wesley Hiebert, one run and three RBI; Caleb Ingram, three runs and two RBI; Mayson Kent, three runs and two RBI; and Andrew Sharpless with one run.
Leading the Challengers were Garrett Emmons, with three runs and two RBI; Haley Lecmen, one run; Jacob Gibbs, five runs and two RBI; T.J. The James Gang and Challengers staged a thriller Monday night at Heritage Park with the James Gang holding off the Challengers in the end.
Leading batters for the James Gang were Auburn Bailey with three runs; Gene Lucas with two runs; Ryan Johnson with four runs; Blake Allen with three runs; Lanie Allen with two runs; Stephanie Gehman with two runs; Eric McCaskill with one run; and Tyler Jackson with one run.

Following the James Gang-Challengers thriller Monday, the Falcons and Shockers staged a shootout of their own.
