Elizabeth Fore Caylor
Atmore – Mrs. Elizabeth Fore Caylor, 72, passed away Saturday, May 7. Funeral services were held Monday, May 9 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating. Graveside services followed at Serenity Garden Cemetery.
Mrs. Caylor was a native of McWilliams, Ala., and a resident of Atmore since 1953. She was a member of the Domino Club and attended Brooks Memorial Baptist Church. she is survived by her husband, George L. Caylor of Atmore; her son, Rob Caylor and his wife, Joleane, of Dothan; two daughters, Sharon Freeman and her husband, Tommy, of Maryville, Tenn., and Karen Daniel and her husband, Cerial, of Atmore; a brother, Walter Robert Fore of Atmore; two sisters, Linda Trawick and Carolyn O'Neal, both of Mobile; four grandchildren, Christy Freeman Marcum, Kevin Freeman, Ryan Daniel, and Chelsea Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee Freeman and Ashlynn Marcum.
Pallbearers were Kevin Freeman, Ryan Daniel, Ric Marcum, Tommy Freeman, Cerial Daniel, and Tobe Sellers. Honorary pallbearers were her Sunday School class.
Dollie Finkler Green
Brewton – Mrs. Dollie Finkler Green, 86, of Flomaton passed away April 29 at Westgate Village Nursing Home in Brewton. Funeral services were held May 7 at Pilgrim Lodge Missionary Baptist Church in Century with Pastor Leonard Watson officiating. Graveside services followed in Century Cemetery.
Mrs. Green was a native of Camden, Ala., born in October 1918. She was the last child of four children. Mrs. Green was baptized in First Mount Zion Baptist Church where she remained until Dr. J.B. Bryant retired. In 1968 she moved her membership to Pilgrim Lodge Missionary Baptist Church in Century and remained until her health declined. She married Mr. Johnnie Green in 1940 and resided in Spokane, Wash. during World War II. The couple moved back to Century in 1945. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Finkler and Matilda Hill-Finkler; her sister, Bonnie Enoch; three of her children, Frankie Lee Green, Harry Barbar, Jr., and Juanita Barbar Davison; and two grandchildren, Ray and Alvin Davison. She is survived by one son, Johnnie Green, Jr., of San Jose, Calif.; one brother, Mr. Turner Bolden of Century; two grandsons, Willie Frank Davison, Jr., and his wife, Michele, of Chicago, Ill., and Tony Davison and his wife, Cassandra, of Century; three granddaughters, Cassandra Barbar-Tarplay of Abondale, Ariz., Cynthia Green-Thompson of Redwood City, Calif., and Monica Green of Oakland, Calif.; four great-grandsons, three from Abondale, Ariz. and Racille Davison of Century; five great-granddaughters, Tasia Terryn, Victoria, and Teresa Davison of Chicago, Ill. and Heather Davison of Brewton; three great-great-granddaughters, Iyanna, Rhaye'Shanna, and Miyhana Davison, all of Century; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Edwards of Century; one cousin, Lois Blackmon of Brewton; and two special friends, Mrs. Mary Mitchell Bradley and Missionary Annie Carter Savage, both of Century.
Betty Benjamin
Enterprise, Ala. – Mrs. Betty Benjamin, 63, a former resident of Atmore, passed away Monday, May 9 at the Medical Center in Enterprise.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Linda Carolyn Boykin
Newnan, Ga. – Mrs. Linda Carolyn Boykin, 51, passed away Thursday, May 5 in Newnan. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 12 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Baptist Church on Hwy. 21 in Atmore with Pastor Freedie Banks officiating. Graveside services will follow at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11 from 1-8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Boykin was a native of Atmore, and a resident of the city for many years. She graduated from Escambia County Training School in Atmore, and worked for Vanity Fair in Atmore as a seamstress for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, William Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Harold Boykin of Atmore; three daughters, L'Kamice Boykin of College Park, Ga., LaToya Chisolm of Hawaii, and Ebony Cole of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Harold Lambert and his wife, April, of San Diego, Calif., her mother, Eva Johnson of Atmore; three sisters, Sherry Johnson and her husband, Hal, of Pensacola, Mahalia Gray of College Park, Ga., and Ella J. Roberts of Atmore; and three brothers, Rochester Johnson of Pensacola, Coley Johnson and his wife, Angela, of Atmore, and Edgar Johnson of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
Margaret Coker Hall
Atmore – Mrs. Margaret Coker Hall, 71, passed away Friday, May 6. Funeral services were held May 10 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Graveside services followed at Bay Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Hall was a native of Bermuda, Ala., a former resident of Pensacola, and a resident of Atmore for the past 17 years. She attended the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church, volunteered for S.A.I.L., was a former employee of Vanity Fair, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Earnest Hall, a son, Timothy Earnest Hall, and a daughter, Delois Marie Hall. She is survived by two sons, Tracey Hall and wife, Donna, of Atmore and Tony Hall and wife, Jeanne, of Walnut Hill; her daughter, Donna L. Hall of Atmore; a brother, Dwight Coker of Lowndesboro, Ala.; a sister, Jeanell Wheeler of Schenectady, N.Y.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two special friends, Deborah Myrick of Thomaston, Ala. and Tom Hall of Atmore.
Pallbearers were Ronald Peebles, Joe Bellew, Will Wilson, Wade Hall, and Jerry Haskew. Honorary pallbearers were J.D. Hanks, Jack Hall, and Tom Hall.
