As the mercury on the thermometer inches ever higher, the Escambia County Blue Devils are working ever harder to get ready for the 2005 season.
Coach Kyle Davis said that while the Blue Devils were making great progress, more work needed to be done.
Davis also said the injury bug had bitten the Blue Devils in recent days.
The Blue Devils will travel to Georgiana for a Jamboree next Friday night against the Panthers. The game will not count in the standings, and Davis said he wasn't concerning himself much with game planning for that contest.
Davis said that after over a week of practice, he had a few leaders emerging.
With only two weeks remaining until the season opener at T.R. Miller, Davis said there was plenty of work to do.
