Harel E. Davis
DAVISVILLE – Mr. Harel E. Davis, 70, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 in Davisville, Fla.
Mr. Davis was a lifetime resident of Davisville. He was a member of the Pensacola Deaf Society and attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include: two sons, Danny Davis of Foley and Ronald Davis of Davisville; two daughters, Rosa Mack of Naples, Fla. and Kathy Kincaid of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and his brother, Bobby Davis of Pensacola, Fla.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m. at Pine Barren Cemetery with Rev. Fred Brown officiating and Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Willard Calvin Davis
ATMORE – Mr. Willard Calvin Davis, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 in Atmore. He was a loan officer for Production Credit Association. Mr. Davis was born in Escambia County Fla. to the late Joseph Cisco and Mellie Catherine Hayes Davis. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Atmore.
Survivors are: his wife of 59 years, Eleanor Ernestine Mothershed Davis; one son, Rev. W. Don Davis and wife Sara of Atmore; three daughters, Anita Hughes and husband, Ricky of Atmore, Judy Baker and husband, Randy of Oak Grove, Fla., Nina Lindsey and husband, Ben of Atmore; one sister, Lottie Wilkinson of Atmore; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ron Cox and Rev. W. Don Davis officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Van Hughes, Marcus Hughes, Christopher Hughes, Jared Davis, Joshua Davis and Ben Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers are Eddie McKinley, Danny Guy, Wayne Harris, Gerry McGhee, James Morgan and Doug Waters.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
Audrey Weaver
McCULLOUGH – Mr. Audrey Weaver, 92, of McCullough, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at his residence. He was a retired farmer, born in Escambia County Ala on March 6, 1913 to the late James Wyatt and Mary Magnolia Coon Weaver.
His first wife, Onnie Mae Jones Weaver and a son, Charles O'Neal Weaver, precede him in death.
Survivors are: his wife, Emma B. Weaver and one son, Jerry Oston Weaver both of McCullough; three daughters, Virginia Mills Sharpless and Martha Weaver Sharpless of Atmore, June Weaver Luker of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Nellie Weaver Reynolds of Atmore; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at 10 a.m. from the Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Otis Thames officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Douglas Weaver, Dick Weaver, Lee Reynolds, Austin Weaver, Jay Sharpless and Wesley Collins. Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
Nealie Pearl Brown
PENSACOLA – Mrs. Nealie Pearl Brown, 70, of Pensacola, Fla. died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Brown was a native of McDavid, Fla. and a resident of Pensacola, Fla. since 1968. She was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Brown; a son, Donald Eugene Brown, Sr.; a daughter, Charlotte Pearl Brown.
Survivors include: a grandson, Donnie (Claudia) Brown of Pensacola, Fla.; one great grandson, Carlos Draver Brown; four brothers, Roland Keith McLain, Sr of Flomaton, William Earl McLain of Mobile, John McLain of Bluff Springs, James McLain of Bluff Springs; three sisters, Virginia Singleton of Pensacola, Fla., JoAnn Igo of Jay, Fla., Pat Magaha of Jay, Fla.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Burial followed at Christian Home Cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews Joe Brown, Jr. , Mark Brown, John Johnson, Mark McLain, Brandon Forehand and Blake Forehand.
Johnnie Lee Hooks
ATMORE – Mr. Johnnie Lee Hooks died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Chapel in Atmore. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore. Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 at Christian Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Sharron Rosa Edwards Zettlemoyer
BATON ROUGE – Ms. Sharron Rosa Edwards Zettlemoyer, 57, of Baton Rouge, La., died Oct. 10, 2005. Ms. Zettlemoyer graduated from Ernest Ward High School in 1966 and was a native of Bratt, Fla. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, La. She had been a resident of Baton Rouge for the past 20 years, 18 of which she was an employee with Georgia Pacific as an Accountant clerk.
Her parents, Lizze Godwin Edwards and Thomas Jackson Edwards, one brother, Thomas Alfred Edwards, precede her in death.
She is survived by one son, Timothy Paul Zettlemoyer of Baton Rouge, La.; four brothers, James (Mary) Edwards of Nokomis, Fla., A. J. (Willie) Edwards, Carlton Edwards and Bernard (Debra) Edwards all of Bratt, Fla., one sister, Marilyn (Dee) Branch of Atmore; numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 from six until nine at Eastside Chapel of Atmore. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. Father Rick Huglie will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at Bratt Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Fla. Active Pallbearers are Travis Branch, Michael Branch, Chris Edwards, Josh Edwards, Robbie Edwards, and Tracey Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Edwards, Wade Edwards, Tony Barberi, Roy Barberi and Joe Pace.
Donna McGhee White
ATMORE – Mrs. Donna McGhee White, 47, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005. Mrs. White was born November 14, 1957 and a long time native of Atmore. She was employed as Tribal Court Director with the Poarch Creek Indians and a devoted member of the Atmore Apostolic Church.
Her parents Levi and Tracy Walker McGhee, one brother, Leo McGhee and two sisters Imogene Sheets and Carlie Dalrympie, preceded Mrs. White in death. Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Randy White; eight sisters, Maratha Wilson, Helen Hallman, Deloris Kelley (Jerry), Velma Crocker, Eldnar McGhee (Shirley), Myrtis Kinam (David), Judy McGhee, Eva Nell Burkett and one brother, Fred Lee McGhee all of Atmore; nieces that are more like sisters, Beverly Holcomb, Pug Roberson of Atmore, Cindy Martin of Cottonwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Atmore Apostolic Church with Rev. Harlen Morgan officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Poarch Creek Tribal Police Officers, Larry Hammonds, Darrell Ledkins, Rex Baggett, Jeffery Weaver, Ray Farmer and Dale Lisenby. Honorary Pallbearers are her nephews, Michael McGhee, Christopher Allison, Melvin Manning, Jr., Rodney Exum, Ryan Exum, Arthur Mothershed, Stephen McGhee, Derrick McGhee, Kevin McGhee, David Allen Kinman, Greg McGhee, Joey McGhee, Fred Lee McGhee, Jr., Scott Jackson, Joshua Burkett, Jimmy Ray McGhee, Timmy McGhee, Michael Sheets, Dennis Sheets, Everett Sheets, Benny McGhee, Leon McGhee, Lavon McGhee, John Lloyd Dairymple, Thomas Dairymple, Lester Dairymple, and one brother in law, Robert Keith White. Atmore Memorial Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
J. W. Bauldree
JAY – Mr. J. W. Bauldree, 88, of the Jay area community of Brownsdale, died Oct. 10, 2005 in a local hospital.
Mr. Bauldree was a longtime resident of Brownsdale. He was a successful farmer for many years in the Santa Rosa County area. He was a loving father, grandfather and a friend to those that knew him.
His parents, Richard James and Annie Myers Bauldree; two sons, Bobby and R. J. Bauldree and one daughter, Bonnie Langham, precede him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Marie Bauldree; son, Billy (Sharon) Bauldree; daughters, Pearl (Frank) Rowell, Joyce Dobson, Jean Woodfin and Frances (Charles) Lambert; sister, Ada Diamond, all of Brownsdale; eight grandchildren, Michael, Melanie, Kellie, Tracey, Lee, Brian, Tony and Shannon; and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 at Jay Funeral Home with Bro. Ladon Hall and Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating. Burial will follow in Cora Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Mike Rowell, Glen Bingham, Tommy Smith, Brian Langham, Lee Langham and Tony Woodfin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jr. Smith, James Earl Diamond, Ricky Smith, Raymond Diamond, Rex Goodson, Merlin Edwards and Dan Langham.
Friends may call at the Jay Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to thank the staff of Jay Hospital, Dr. David Smith, Muzett Mattox and Terri Hendrickson for all the care given to Mr. Bauldree.
Louis W. Boone
MOBILE – Mr. Louis W. Boone, 83, of Mobile died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005 in Mobile. He was retired from Monsanto Chemical Corporation. He was born in Mineola, Ala. On May 6, 1922 to the late Ernest E. and Lucille McArthur Boone.
His wife, Helen H. Boone; a son, Louis E. Boone; one sister, Beatrice Kirkham and one brother, Henry Clayton Boone, precede him in death.
Survivors are: two sons, Rodney W. Boone and wife, Teresa of Mobile; William E. Boone and wife, Sheila of Grove Hill and a daughter-in-law; Patsy Boone of Mobile; two sisters, Vera Coleman of McCaskill, Ark., Janice Childree of Mobile; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Chapel. Interment followed in Serenity Gardens. Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
