Senior quarterback Calvin Hartley led the Escambia County Blue Devils in 2005 through the air and on the ground.
Hartley threw for 1,085 yards with a 52 percent completion percentage and eight touchdowns. He also tore up defenses with his quick feet, running for a team-high 589 yards on 124 carries and eight touchdowns.
The double-threat capability of Hartley garnered him honors as the 2005 Atmore Advance Player of the Year. Hartley was a complete player for the Blue Devils and his presence is sure to be missed next season.
