RSTC term begins Jan. 5

Reid State Technical College will hold late registration for Spring Semester classes Jan. 4 beginning at 8 a.m. Classes will begin Jan. 5, 2005.
Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) is predicting 43,000 jobs in the automotive and aerospace industries alone by 2007. Reid StateTechnical College offers a variety of degrees to prepare graduates for employment in new and existing industries.
Short term free training is available in Evergreen and Greenville in the Focused Industry Training program (FIT). Graduates of this 10 week class may receive a certificate as a certified employee. Call 578-9036 or 578-1462 for Evergreen enrollment. Greenville FIT can be reached at 334-371-1313.
Associate degrees and diplomas are available in Reid State's Office Administration, Accounting, Legal and Medical Administrative Assistant, Computer Information Systems, and Industrial Electronic programs.
Reid State offers day or evening classes in numerous career fields: Building Construction, Collision Repair, Computer Information Systems, Welding, Industrial Electricity/Electronics, and Child Care.
Health care careers are available in Practical Nursing and Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide. These courses can be completed in one year or six months respectively. Students are prepared for state board exams which allow licensure to practice in these health care professions.
Atmore Practical Nursing is located in the Lion's Center on Pensacola Avenue.
The shortest term program is Commercial Truck Driving which is offered day or weekend. This eight week day or fifteen week week-end program
prepares students for the Commercial Driver's licensure written and roadtest exam.
