Atmore made MLK Day rememberable
The Concerned Citizens of Atmore "Unity in the Community" and the Dr. Martin Luther King Parade Committee for 2006 appreciate every one for lending us a hand to make this Holiday Celebration a day of Unity and Strength. Atmore is filled with good people. We are blessed to have Dr. Martin Luther King's Holiday recognized in our town. Dr. King's sacrifices and contributions were for everyone. Throughout his years of public service Dr. King encouraged people to participate in community service. He said everybody can be great because everybody can serve. Dr. King said you only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love, and you can be a servant. Today let each man, woman, boy and girl stand up for what is right and help make Atmore a better and safer place for us to live for everyone.
The Concerned Citizens of Atmore encourage all citizens to get involved in positive activities. Let us help keep the communities safe for our seniors, youth and children. Find service opportunities in your area that match your skills and areas of interest. If you want to be somebody be a good servant for your neighborhood. One of our roles is promoting Dr. Martin Luther King's teachings because they can have a profound impact on the kind of future we create for our young people and future generations.
