Two employees of the B. P Gas station located on Highway 21 and 1-65 were forced behind a counter at gunpoint in an early morning robbery Monday.
Atmore Police Department officers responded to the robbery call at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, where they came in contact with the store manager and her co-worker.
According to the store manager, a black male approximately 5 ft 8 and 200 pounds with a scar under his right eye entered the store and proceeded to the restroom where he then presented a firearm and ordered the women behind the counter.
The subject then removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and safe, and then ordered the workers to lie down until he left the premises. After the subject fled, one of the workers dialed 911.
The Alabama Department of Corrections Dog Tracking Team was called to assist in the search.
This case is currently under investigation and the APD asks that if you have any information concerning this case to please contact Investigator Chuck Brooks at (251) 368-9141.
