Cocaine bust nets two arrests

Five grams of powder cocaine and one half ounce of crack cocaine were discovered in a traffic stop of an Atmore resident on Wednesday, March 8 that led to the arrest of two individuals.
Willie Frank Green II, also known as "Red", was apprehended after the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force, Atmore Police Department and Flomaton Police Department pulled him over on a traffic violation.
A search of the 30-year-old black male's vehicle uncovered powder cocaine and crack cocaine that had a combined street value of about $3,500. Agents also seized more than $1000 cash from the suspect.
Following Green's arrest, agents from the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force then executed a search warrant at Green's residence located on 125 Ed Thomas Road in Atmore. Upon arrival agents made contact with a white female, Tosha M. Kirkus, 27, also of 125 Ed Thomas Road in Atmore who was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime.
Green faces two charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Escambia County detention center.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is comprised of the following law enforcement agencies: Escambia County Sheriff's Department, Atmore Police Department, East Brewton Police Department, Brewton Police Department, Flomaton Police Department, Escambia County District Attorney's Office and the Escambia County Commission.
