Carolyn Louise Keel
MOBILE – Mrs. Carolyn Louise Keel, 79, of Mobile, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Mobile. She was a sewing machine operator with Vanity Fair Mills, born in Baldwin County on Jan. 21, 1927 to the late John Louis and Lela Bodiford Styron.
She was a member of Azalea Hill Christian Church in Mobile. Preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Keel. one son, Melvin Ray Keel and one daughter, Beverly Ann Hart.
Survivors are: two daughters, Shelbia Dean and Darlis Wooten both of Mobile; one brother, Kirby Ray Styron F. Range; seven grandchildren, Ricky Dean, Jimmy Dean, Jena Dean Duke, Chris Wooten, Sonia Wooten Ragsdale, Brent Hart, and Leigh Ann Hart and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Grindle officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jim Dean, Ricky Dean, Chris Wooten, Brent Hart, Ken Hart, and Perry Duke. The family received friends Monday evening June 19, 2006 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Bobby Ray Sweat
PENSACOLA – Mr. Bobby Ray Sweat, 61, of Pensacola, Fla., died Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Pensacola, Fla.
He was a truck driver, born in McCullough on June 10, 1945 to the late Elbert D. and Ozo Gates Sweat.
Survivors are: his former wife, Lorette Kiecz of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Angela Pasquarelli of Chesapeake, Va.
Services were held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Ray Taylor officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery. Active pallbearers are cousins, Ronald Rogers, George Rogers, Ian Rogers, Chris Rogers, Nathan Schwartz and Gary Stoker.
Family received family and friends Monday evening June 19, 2006 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home form 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Samuel Author Rayborn
BAY MINETTE – Mr. Samuel Author Rayborn Jr, 64, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006 in Bay Minette.
Rayborn was a native of McDavid, Fla., a resident of Bay Minette for the past 25 years, an employee at Baldwin Pole and Piling Company and attended the Protestant Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Barbara Rayborn of Atmore; two sons, Samuel Dewayne Rayborn of Atmore and Wesley Jr Rayborn of Raleigh, N. C.; five daughters, Wanda Ann Rayborn of Mobile, Deborah Pauline Watson of Excel, Rhonda Gayle Brown, Pamela Jean Jackson and Felicia Ellen Rolin all of Atmore; 18 grandchildren; 5 great – grandchildren; three brothers, Hubert Rayborn of Bay Minette, Jimmy Rayborn of Grove Hill and Julius Rayborn of Atmore and two sisters, Melbus Roberts and Bobbi Pearson, both of Atmore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Burial followed at Freemanvlle Community Cemetery.
Visitation was held Monday, June 19, 2006 between 6 and 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Dempsey Rolin, Timmy Ramer, Ray Pearson, Erby Parker and Elroy Roberts.
Geraldine "Gerry" M. Hartner
MCDAVID – Geraldine "Gerry" M. Hartner, 67, of McDavid, Fla., passed away on June 17, 2006. Mrs. Hartner was born on June 25, 1938 in Lexington, Okla. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 48 years, Larry Hartner. Survivors include her five children, Ronald L. Hartner, Clifford Hartner, Kathryn (Ed) Rankin, Martha (Randy) Trombley and Janet Fox (Jim Hager); nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Louise) Box; s sister, Lavada DeSelms and a close friend, Eric Fryer along with numerous other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Christopher Hunt officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2006 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North – Cantonment. Faith Chapel Funeral Home North 1000 Highway 29 South Cantonment is in change of arrangements.
Bertha Bowman
ATMORE – Mrs. Bertha Bowman, 95, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 in Atmore. Bowman was native of Canoe, a resident of Atmore, a member of the First United Methodist Church and Women's Guild. She will be remembered for playing the piano at the Atmore Nursing Care Center, she loved all the church services and visiting singers.
Survivors include: her daughter, Levice and Luke Haynie of Atmore; two sons, Angus "Bob" and Helen Bowman of Bay Minette, and Bo and Nancy Bowman of Homasassa, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. C. L. Langford officiating. Burial followed at McCullough Cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis Dannelly, Jerry Brown, Albert Dean, Arnold Lambert, McArthur Davis and Jamie Odom.
