Food Network to show Butt Burners
The Wild Bunch Butt Burners will appear in a special program filmed in Atmore and Mobile on the Food Network the following dates:
Master's Men in concert July 9
McRae Street United Methodist Church will host The Master's Men Quartet in concert at 6 p.m. on July 9.
A love offering will be received.
Commission to meet on July 10
The Escambia County Commission will conduct a regular session on Monday, July 10, 2006 at 9 a.m. in the county commission chambers, room 201 at the Escambia County Court House in Brewton.
NWE meeting slated July 12
The Northwest Escambia Football League will hold a meeting at 2 p.m. on July 12 at Bradberry
Free income tax workshop July 12
The Poarch Creek Indians Economic Development Department is hosting a FREE 2006 Income Tax Workshop. The Workshop will be held on July 12, 2006, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will cover a variety of tax related topics, which include ways to capture medical deductions and work related expenses. CPR classes to be held at Kelley's
The class is approximately four hours and cost $15. Classes are held at our station located at 212 N. Main Street.

Plant and Seed swap August 12
A plant and seed swap event will be held Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Davisville Community Center. Call 327-4280 for more information.
Calvary Baptist host special speaker
Mike Davis, Pastor of Pine Forest Estates Baptist Church, will be preaching on the Revelation at Calvary Baptist Church on Jack Springs Road July 17 through July 21 at 7 p.m. each evening.
Christian Care needs food items
Atmore Area Christian Care gave food to 67 people last week. They are short on the following food items: Self Rising flour, Self Rising meal, chicken and dumplings and Treet.
Ala. Independent Baptist meet July 18
The Alabama Independent Baptist Fellowship will meet at Calvary Baptist Church on Jack Springs Road Tuesday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. until noon for fellowship and preaching.
Sponsors needed for Taste of the South
The third annual Taste of the South has been scheduled for Aug. 12, 2006 in Heritage Park.
The event is sponsored by the Leadership Atmore Class of 2004.
The Taste of the South is a great opportunity to bring together various vendors from Atmore and surrounding communities to enjoy the cultural cuisines that our great city and individual community members have to offer.
This event offers everyone the opportunity to taste great food, listen to great music, visit with neighbors, and enjoy a host of other activities.
All money raised will go back to the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce to assist them in promoting the city of Atmore.
For Taste of the South to be successful as in years past, sponsors are needed. Each sponsor will be recognized at the event.

Holy Ghost revival to begin Thursday
The Holy Ghost Revival has been rescheduled at Atmore Apostolic Church beginning this Thursday, July 6 through Sunday, July 9 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 a.m and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The revival will also be held the following Thursday, July 13 until Sunday, July 16 at the same times.
Guest evangelist will be Darian Hosch, pastor and accomplished musician and singer currently serving in Louisiana.
