Dear Editor,
In an effort to keep Atmore clean, the Leadership Atmore Class of 2006 is committed to its Atmore's Picking Up program, which was first introduced on April 29th. Although the community clean up day was a success, with more than 100 residents picking up trash along Atmore's main thoroughfares, the efforts can't stop there.
One of our main goals is to instill a sense of pride in the community so that pick up days are not necessary. We, as a class, realize that such a goal is going to take time to reach and have dedicated ourselves to accomplishing it with several initiatives we have developed. They are:
A clean community has several important advantages. Not only is cleanliness appealing to the eye, it is also a valuable asset when recruiting new industrial, commercial, and retail prospects. With Atmore on the verge of economic prosperity with the newly announced Rivercane project, now more than ever, it is vital to keep Atmore clean.
Please join us in our efforts to clean up our hometown by supporting this important project.
Packets will be going out to local businesses, churches and organization within the next week giving more details of what is included with each sponsorship.
Thank you for your support,
Chad Bartz
Class President
