Avanell Morris Boutwell
FLOMATON – Mrs. Avanell Morris Boutwell, 85, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006 in Flomaton.
Mrs. Boutwell was a native of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. and a resident of Flomaton since 1934. She attended the Allen Smith Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John S. "Big Boy" Boutwell.
Survivors include, five sons, Sidney B. and Jeanice Boutwell, Wendell M. and Judy Boutwell, Tony R. and Linda Boutwell, Terry A. and Wanda Boutwell and Andy R. and Sue Boutwell, all of Flomaton; four daughters, Barbara B. Booker of Monroeville, Gloria Faye and Billy Joe Knowles and Judy B. and Billy Smith, both of Flomaton and Paula B. and Ray Johnson of Jay, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grand children; four brothers, Harold Morris of Flomaton, Charles Morris of Opp, Lester Morris of New York, N.Y. and Jack Morris of Flomaton and her sister, Alleeen Dannelley of Thomasville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Morris and the Rev. Andy Boutwell officiating. Burial will follow at Lambeth-Boutwell Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Boutwell, Vance Smith, Trent Boutwell, Tuffy Boutwell, Kevin Knowles and Tadd Johnson.
Logan Cade Hawthorne
PENSACOLA – Infant Logan Cade Hawthorne passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006 at a Pensacola hospital.
Logan was a native of Pensacola, Fla. and a resident of Flomaton. His great grandparents, Robert "Bobby" McCann, Clint Turk, Brunor and Eva Emmons and an uncle, Ladon Raines Hawthorne, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Chance and Kimberly Hawthorne of Flomaton; his brother, Landon Wade Hawthorne of Flomaton; his grandparents, Robby and Tammy McCann of Bratt, Fla. and Robert and Loretta Hawthorne of Flomaton and his great grandmothers, Martha McCann of McDavid, Fla., Mary Turk of Pollard and Louise Allen of Jay, Fla.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Flomaton Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Howard officiating and Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. directing.
Pallbearers were Camaron Hawthorne and Chase Murphy.
John Harold Justice
ATMORE – Mr. John Harold Justice, 94, of Atmore died on Sept. 7, 2006 at his residence.
Mr. Justice was born on May 12, 1912 in Sand Springs, Okla. And served as a Navy Lt. Senior in World War II. He was last employed with Cassens Transport C. as a Claims man.
Mr. Justice married Sarah Hortense Justice and they had three children, Patricia Ann Phelan, Sally Lynn Justice and Brenda Sue Jahn. He had two grandchildren, William Richard Jahn and Timothy Andrew Phelan and three great grandchildren, Charles Jahn, Ruth Jahn and Maya Phelan. His daughter, Brenda Sue Jahn, preceded him in death.
The family of Mr. John Harold Justice had a memorial service for the family on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006.
Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
