Several patrons at Williams Station Day wanted to purchase size XXL shirts, but were unable. The Chamber now has some available for sale at the Chamber office for $10 along with other sizes.
Holy Ghost revival will begin today
Old Fashioned Holy Ghost Revival will be this Sunday through Saturday, Nov. 4 (or until) at Allen Smith Holiness Church, 2515 Stanley Road, in the Stanley Cross Roads community.
Sunday at 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday at 7 p.m. Evangelist will be David Gentry from Prattville, Alabama. Pastor Bro. Donnis Bowman invites everyone to come enjoy great singing and preaching in the old fashioned way!
Walnut Hill VFD catfish fry Nov. 4
Walnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual catfish fry from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 4 at the Walnut Hill fire station in Walnut Hill, Fla.
Catfish fillets, grilled chicken, hush puppies, baked beans, cole slaw, homemade bread and cakes will be served. The cost of a plate will be $6.
Baked goods and arts and crafts will be available. Door prizes will be given away at 1 p.m.
St. Robert's fall festival Nov. 4
St. Robert's Catholic Church in Atmore will have a fall festival Nov. 4, 2006 8a.m until. There will be a bake sale, white elephant sale, crafts, silent auction, and food.
Chili will be a $1.50, Pepsi is 50 cents, whole smoked Boston Butts are $25 and Turkey Breast are $30.

Inaugural HOF tickets on sale
Tickets for the inaugural Atmore Area Hall of Fame induction ceremony are on sale now and can be purchased for $15 at The Atmore Advance, Atmore News, First National Bank &Trust or United Bank.
The ceremony is Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Atmore Area YMCA and Community Center.
AOH church has 77 years celebration
The Harris Street AOH Church will be celebrating their Church's 77th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006. The celebration will start Wednesday night, Nov. 1, 2006 at 7:30 and will climax on Sunday evening at 3p.m. The guest speaker will be Elder Leo Fox and Pastor Overseer Quillas Mitchell.
Council on Aging offering flu shots
The Escambia County Council on Aging will offer flu shots at the Flomaton Lions Club Community Center on Nov. 8, 2006 from 8 a.m. until noon. This service is offered to residents of Escambia County Alabama. Charges are as follows: Medicare A &B: Free
HMO- Medicaid: Pay $25 and be reimbursed when you file. All others: $25
Mennonite Christian Fellowship events
Mennonite Christian Fellowship, located just off of Hwy 31 (toward Bay Minette) behind Maxwell Construction, will be hosting two upcoming events.
On Sunday, Nov. 5 the church will be hosting the Amazing Grace Tour, which is a We Care prison ministry presentation including drama, video clips and ex-inmate testimonials.
The program begins at 6:30 p.m.
On Thursday, Nov. 16 the church will be hosting the music group Simple Grace. This family of eight children will give a program of inspirational music that features a variety of instruments.

Easter Seals host reading sessions
Goodwill Easter Seals will host Family Fun with Reading at Rachel Patterson Elementary School in October and November.
There will be four sessions including Oct. 17, Oct. 24, Nov. 6 and Nov. 16. Classes will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
During the sessions there will be arts and crafts and ideas for reading at home. Refreshments will be served.

Atmore BP will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for local families who may need a little extra help this holiday season.
Bring your donations by the station between Oct. 16 and Nov. 17. Records will be kept and the person who has brought the most donations will receive a $25 gift card for "free" gas.
If you know someone who needs assistance see Kristi and let her know. Boxes will be distributed the week of Nov. 20.

Legion Veteran's Day parade is Nov. 10
The American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary of Atmore are sponsoring a Veteran's Day Parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 that will relive history for the citizens of Atmore as well as for the students most of all.
Schools in Flomaton, Atmore, Bratt, and Walnut Hill areas are being asked to participate by making floats to represent war periods. This is voluntary, but all are encouraged to be a part of this. The Legion and the Auxiliary have joined forces to offer prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
The schools of classes participating will probably need some parental participation on this project. What a great opportunity to work with your children on such an important part of American History.
The American War periods are: The American Revolution (1775-1782), The War of 1812 (1812-1815), Mexican-American War (1846-1848), The Civil War (1861-1865), The Spanish-American War (1898-1902), World War I (1917-1918), World War II (1940-1945), The Korean War (1950-1953), Vietnam War (1964-1975), Desert Storm (1990-1991), Operation Enduring Freedom (9/11/02), Iraqi Freedom (Official combat March 20-May 1, 2003), Post conflict peace-keeping continues.

Thanksgiving meal offered for needy
A Thanksgiving meal, sponsored by Watch Chapel, will be held at McCullough Fire Department Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. We invite all those in need of a good home-cooked meal and pleasant company.

Christ Temple revival Nov. 3-6 in Atmore
The Christ Temple Evangelistic Pentecostal Church, 240 Carver Ave., Atmore will hold Revival Services with Apostle/Prophet S.D. James on Friday, Nov. 3rd – Sunday, Nov. 6.
Services will begin at 8p.m. nightly. Elder Theolonias Smith and Church Family invite everyone to attend.
Judgement House slated in Brewton
The student ministry of First National Church in Brewton will be presenting its annual performance of Judgment House the first two weekends of November. Using the script entitled, "Where there's smoke, there's fire," the performance depicts the story of Whitney, a new Christian, who shares her faith with her two brothers. Her older brother, Darin rejects Christ, and her younger brother Billy initially rejects, but later accepts Christ. A party takes place while the parents are out of town during which a fire starts. The fire destroys the house and takes the lives of Darin and Whitney, while the younger brother Billy survives the blaze. You'll see the tragedy of bad decisions and the glory of accepting Christ as the story plays out.
Judgment House is an eight-scene walk-through drama with a powerful real-life story that helps bring out an understanding to what Christians believe happens after death. It is a depiction of how choices determine the eternal destiny of the people involved.
Through Judgment House presentation, thousand of people across the United States as well as internationally, have witnessed these depictions and, as a result, thousands of lives have been changed.
First Baptist Church would like to invite you or your group to participate by making a reservation to attend on one of the following dates: Nov. 4-6 and Nov. 11-13. Huxford Fire Dept. annual turkey shoot
The Huxford Fire Department will be having their annual Turkey Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 11th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will be held at the Huxford Elementary School. The cost will be $2 per shot with all the proceeds going to the Fire Department.
Perdido Elementary hosts veteran program
Perdido Elementary/Middle School will be hosting a "Salute to Veterans" on November 9 at 8:30 a.m. This celebration is open to all veterans and their families. Included in the program will be; the Baldwin County High School JROTC, Perdido Middle School Band, guest speakers, school winners of the Patriotic essay contest, special music by our chorus and former Perdido Student Gordon Miller.
After the program, all guests will be invited to a reception in their honor. A wall of honor will feature gold stars with the names and branches of service as well as pictures dating back to WWI. A special plaque will be presented that will include the names of former Perdido students who have served in the military during war and other times of conflict.
