The Northview Chiefs hit the road for the first time in the 2007 football season Friday. The Chiefs head to DeFuniak Springs, Fla. for a matchup with 2-0 Walton High School.
"They (Walton) are a good football team," NHS head coach Cody Keene said. "They run the zone on defense and they throw the ball well on offense."
Keene said the Chiefs' keys to victory are simplistic in nature.
"We have to tackle better and we need to carry out our assignments on defense and on offense we need to keep working to get better and execute our plays more efficiently."
Keene said the mindset does not change for that first away game.
"Sure, it is our first away game, but we need to still go and play hard and execute," he said. "We need our fans to follow us and come support these boys."
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
