Be sure to back your Blue Devils
This week is homecoming at Escambia County High School. Several groups at the school are busy getting ready for the activities such as the Alumni Reception, Homecoming parade, pep rally and football game. This is an exciting time at ECHS! The Art Club members, Cheerleaders and Booster Club members are campaigning to "Paint The Town Blue." There are several businesses downtown that have allowed this group to paint their store windows to support the Blue Devils. To those, we say "Thank you." For anyone else who would like to participate, be our guest! We welcome anyone to cheer the Blue Devils on to victory. Not only is this Homecoming week, this is a very BIG football game in our region. Thomasville is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, Region 1.
The Blue Devils are not ranked yet, but if they beat Thomasville, who knows what can happen! They recently received 17 votes by the Alabama Sports Writers Association to be placed in the Top 10. Go Big Blue!
So if you are a Blue Devil, were a Blue Devil or just want to have some fun, join us to "Paint The Town Blue" this week. Hang a blue flag, wear a blue shirt, tie blue balloons, or whatever you might like to do will be GREAT! Hey, and if you had fun, feel free to do it again. The Blue Devils will love it!!
REMINDER: The ECHS Booster Club meets every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at David's Catfish. Come and enjoy the fun!
