Beatrice C. Johnson
BAY MINETTE – Mrs. Beatrice C. Johnson, 70, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 in Bay Minette. Mrs. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Bay Minette and attended the Baptist Church. Her husband, Johnny Johnson preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two sons, Ronnie Lee Johnson and Johnny Johnson Jr., both of Bay Minette; five daughters, Diane Green of Bay Minette, Deborah Stacey of Atmore, Dottie White of Robertsdale, Donna Stewart of Bay Minette and Doris Wiley of Bay Minette; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Alene Kellerhouse and Nora Whatley, both of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at the Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial followed at Bryars – McGill cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until funeral time Friday, Oct. 12, 2007 at the Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church.
Daisy Peoples Eason
ALASKA – Mrs. Daisy Peoples Eason, 69, formerly of Monroeville, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Little River. Interment will follow in the Tate Chapel cemetery in Little River with Turner Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Otis M. Stewart
PERDIDO – Mr. Otis M. Stewart, 96, of Perdido died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 at his daughter's residence in Perdido. He was a retired farmer, born in Dyas on April 12, 1911 to the late Hiram Owen and Elizabeth Redmond Stewart. He was a WWII Army Veteran and his favorite pasttime was sitting on the front porch in his swing.
Survivors include, his wife, Rosie A. Stewart of Perdido; one son Glen W. Stewart and wife Marianne of Fairhope; one daughter, Evelyn S. King and husband Franklin of Perdido; one sister, Laura "Blackie" Smith of Dyas; five grandchildren, Susan King, Roger King, Sherri Clay, Leigh Ann Wilder and Shannon Plovanich; six great grandchildren, Trever King, Tyler King, John C. Clay, Caleigh Clay, Hannah Wilder and Gavin Wilder.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Sister, Theresa Long officiating. Interment followed in Bryars – McGill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Elmer Stimac, Mason Bryars, Roger King, Bobby Odom, Jimmy Hollingsworth and Jerry Stewart.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct.12, 2007 at Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home, Inc in charge of all arrangements.
Jakilah LeMiracle Norman
ATMORE – Miss Jakilah LeMiracle Norman, 17 months, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007 at Atmore Community Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother; Ieesha Hazley of Atmore and her father, Jarvis Norman of Atmore; her twin sister Jakiyah Norman of Atmore; grandparents, Annie and Lawerence Dandridge of Atmore; Annie and Otis Dandridge of Atmore; Annie and Otis Dailey, the Rev. Albert and Elizabeth Hazley of Atmore.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at the New Order Missionary Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. Sidney Grant, pastor and the Rev. Albert E. Hazley, Sr. officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview cemetery in Atmore with Turner Funeral Home of Atmore directing.
