The Northview Chiefs hit the road for the second straight week for their final game of the regular season against West Florida Tech Friday night in Pensacola.
With a win, the Chiefs could secure a winning season for the third straight year.
"This game gives us the opportunity to go 6-4 on the year and that would be a third straight winning season," NHS head coach Cody Keene said. "And we always want to win going into the playoffs."
Keene said the Chiefs will have their hands full with an 0-9 team that has a lot of speed.
"They have been getting better each week and they have a lot of speed," Keene said. "They are two classifications above us and we will have a good game on our hands. We will have to play well to beat them."
The Chiefs (5-4) will have to stop the option if they want to win Friday, Keene said. If the Chiefs can pull out a win, it would be a two-game win streak heading into the playoffs and Keene said that is always a good thing.
"Our whole defense will have to step up for us to have a chance to win," he said. "We need that team effort again like we had last week. We need to be where we are supposed to be and play great angles on defense."
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Pensacola, Fla.
