James Billy "J.B." Craft
ATMORE – Mr. James Billy "J.B." Craft, 64, of Atmore died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola. He was a retired machine operator at Monsanto and attended school at Escambia County Training School. He was a member of Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was chairman of the Deacon Board, member of the Male Chorus and Trustee Board.
He leaves to cherish in loving memory, his wife, Gleandine Craft of Atmore; one daughter, Veronica Craft of Atmore; six sons, James Craft Jr. of Brewton and John, Joe, Quenton and Patrick Craft, all of Atmore and Jerald Curry of Jackson, Wis.; 10 sisters, Ella Johnson and Lucille Millender both of Atmore, Linda Issac, Mary Alice Bradley, Dorothy Craft, Shirley Polnitz all of Pensacola, Fla. and Sharon Patton, Sheryl Patton, Vel Fluker and Gloria Fitzgerald all of Birmingham; six brothers, Dessie Craft of Panama City, Fla., Eddie and Willie Craft both of Detroit, Mich., William, Curtis and James William Craft all of Pensacola, Fla.; 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 at the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Bishop Willie L. Williams, pastor of Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church officiating and the Rev. Willie Hawthorne pastor. Interment followed in Fairview cemetery. His remains lied instate at the church one hour prior to the funeral services.

Orange Lee America Jr.
ATMORE – On Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2007, Orange Lee America Jr. left this earth at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Our Lord and Saviour called him in from his journey for rest. Orange spent his time here on Earth and a devoted father, a caring brother, a loving uncle and a friend.
Mr. Orange Lee America Jr. was born on Aug. 25, 1960 to the late Mr. Orange and Mrs. Laura America, both of Atmore. Deceased before him are two sisters, one brother and many more loved ones.
Orange was a truck driver for many trucking companies. Driving trucks was something that he loved to do.
Orange leaves to cherish his memories his only daughter, Bianca (Kevin) America of Atmore; two stepsons, Stanley Chestnut of Century, Fla. and Mark Hall of Atmore; two sisters, Loretta (Lewis) Ball of Jacksonville, Fla. and Floretta (Andrew) Crenshaw of Atmore; one uncle, Robert George of Camden; three aunts, Lucina Mitchell of Jackson, Mattie Hartley of Atmore and Helen Nicholson of Columbia, Ga. and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and also a very special friend, Patricia Williams.
Pallbearers were family and friends, flower bearers were friends and the mortician was Christian Memorial Funeral Chapel in Atmore.
Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Dec. 8, 2007 at 2nd Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Donzell L. Young Sr. officiating and the Rev. Joe Hayes as pastor. Burial services were held at Lucious Cemetery in Atmore.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
William Jessie Rothschild
COY – William Jessie Rothschild was born Feb. 22, 1952 to the late Peter Rothschild and Emma Johnson Rothschild. William confessed Christ and joined the St. Emmanuel Baptist Church. He later joined the Old Zion Baptist Church where he served faithfully as an usher.
William was an accomplished athlete and won numerous awards in basketball at the high school and college level. Such accomplishments include high school all-star, part of a state championship team, national all time scoring champion and Florida Junior (Florida Atlantic) college conference all tournament team. While a student at Palm Beach Atlantic College, he was part of the NCAA District Independent Championship Team and in 1957 was a NCAA All American.
He was untied in marriage to Carolyn Knight Rothschild for 33 years and from this union they were blessed with four beautiful children, one (William Jesse) which proceeded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Carolyn Rothschild; two sons, Kerry (Dorothea) Rothschild of Camden and Marcus Rothschild of Coy; one daughter, Madessia Rothschild of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Keanu Rothschild and Destiny Rothschild, both of Camden; four brothers, Nathaniel (Bertha) Rothschild of Atmore, Peter Rothschild Jr. of Selma, Horace (Ernestine) Rothschild of Thomasville and Thomas Rothschild of Coy; four sisters, Susan Porterfield and Irene (Frank) Sunday, both of Birmingham, Channie Rothschild of Canton, Ohio and Olivia Hall of Springfield Garden, N.Y.; three aunts, Lucy Bryant and Annie Kyles, both of Monroeville and Marie Simmons of Oakland, Calif.; five brother-in-laws, Sam Knight, James (Jeanette) Knight, George (Jacqueline) Knight, Clinton (Mattie) Knight, all of Coy, and Leroy (Priscilla) of Pensacola, Fla.; three sister-in-laws, Lela (Vernon) Givins of Ft. Myles, Fla., Doris (Michael) Nettles of Coy and Mary (John) Wiggins of Pensacola, Fla.; a special friend, Robert Murphy of Camden and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 8, 2007 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Coy, the Rev. Stanford Anigon as pastor, Pastor Herman Charley of Old Zion Baptist Church officiating and Sister Estella Wilson as Mistress of Order. Burial services took place at Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery. Pallbearers and flower flower-bears were family and friends.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
Nathaniel Bannister Odom
FLOMATON – Mr. Nathaniel Bannister Odom, 71, of Flomaton died Dec. 7, 2007 at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memories his caregiver/niece, Valerie Smith, three daughters, Cathy Pinkey of Charlotte, N.C., Gayneal English of Pollard and Candice Odom of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Dennis and Jerry Odom, both of Flomaton; one sister, Frances Gabriel of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Solomon Odom of Flomaton and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at Damascus Baptist Church in Flomaton with the Rev. Henry Hawkins, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fannie/Damascus cemetery in Flomaton. His remains will lie instate at the church one hour prior to funeral services with Turner Funeral Home Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
Brandie Smith Rehorn
PHENIX CITY – Mrs. Brandie Smith Rehorn, 25, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 in Phenix City.
Mrs. Rehorn was a native of Tupelo, Miss., a former resident of Columbus, Ga. for six months, a resident of Phenix City for the past six months and attended the Christian Church. Preceded in death by her father, Mark Smith, her grandparents, Janice and Richard Sirmon and a cousin, Danielle Merchant.
Survivors include her husband, Damian John Rehorn of Phenix City; two sons, Logan Scott Bracknell and Gavin John Rehorn, both of Phenix City; her mother, Patricia Gunn Smith of Decatur; two brothers, Mark Anthony Smith of Moulton and Richard Taylor Smith of Decatur and a sister, Madison Smith Sharpe of Hartselle.
Elton "Elsie" Wright-Grant
ATMORE – Ms. Elton "Elsie" Wright-Grant, 69, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at her residence.
