A McDavid, Fla. man got more than a bucket of chicken when he decided to go through the drive-thru to grab a bite for lunch Tuesday at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Atmore.
According to the Atmore Police Department, Luverne Graham was headed north on Hwy. 21 when she cut across the BP parking lot, located beside KFC. Graham lost control of her 2004 Ford Ranger, which ran up an embankment that separates the BP station and KFC. Graham's truck then struck McDavid resident Rodger Holland's Chevrolet S10.
"She pulled through (the BP parking lot) and almost hit an Explorer and she jumped the curb and hit him," Kristi Kirby, BP station employee who witnessed the accident, said. "She was flying."
The accident occurred Tuesday at 11:31 a.m.
Graham is a 79-year-old female from Fort Pierce, Fla. and Holland is a 59-year-old male.
Both Graham and Holland were transported to Atmore Community Hospital by Kelley's Ambulance. No updates on fair conditions were available at press time.
As for KFC, the side window suffered minimal damage, according to APD.
