Johnny Cheyenne Shipp
BAY MINETTE – Infant Johnny Cheyenne Shipp passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 in Bay Minette.
Johnny was a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Stapleton.
Survivors include, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Shipp of Stapleton; a sister, Jayla Lynn Shipp of Stapleton; her grandparents, Larry and Nancy Adams of Pine Grove, Thomas Shipp of Whitehouse Fork and Thelma Pierce of Fairhope; great grandparents, Vivian and Willis Lee Hadley of Perdido and two aunts, Tina Shipp and Tina Witlock both of Bay Minette.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at the Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial followed at Pine Grove cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10:15 a.m. until funeral time at the Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church.
Pallbearers were Roger Scott and Mike Richerson.
Petty Funeral Homes, LLC directing.
Elton B. "Elsie" Wright-Grant
ATMORE – Ms. Elton B. "Elsie" Wright – Grant, 69 of Atmore died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of the Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church where she was a choir member.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Patricia A. Perkins – Sharp of Atmore; one brother, Samuel L. Wright Jr. of Alton, Ill.; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at the Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. Joe L. Hayes, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview cemetery.
Her remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
George Washington Daw
ATMORE – Mr. George Washington Daw, 99, of Atmore died on Dec. 13, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Washington was born on Aug. 19, 1908 to Marion and Jenny Childers Daw. Mr. Daw worked for Air – Maze Aircraft Sheet Metal. Three brothers, John Daw, Jim Daw and Tom Daw and one sister, Edna, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include, one daughter, Barbara Johnson of Mobile; two sons, George David Daw of Atmore and Louie Simmons (Melissa) of Atmore; seven grandchildren, Karen Rice, Ricky Daw, David Paul Daw, Louie Issac Simmons, Sara Simmons, Mark Simmons and Jeremy Johnson, four great grandchildren, Alex Rice, Jordlyn Rice, Joshua Daw and Nichol Daw.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 from the Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Guyton officiating. Burial followed at Sardis cemetery in Wawbeek. Family received friends from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
