Those in attendance at McCullough Christian Center the past couple of nights have seen four men perform amazing feats of strength, while sharing their testimonies and giving hope to those in the crowd.
John Jacobs Next Generation Power Force performed at MCC Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights and the last performance is tonight at 7 p.m.
The four men of strength that made the trip to McCullough include Jerod Rost, Jack Little, Josh Whisneant and John Eskridge. And although the men weigh about 300 pounds apiece and do crazy stunts like breaking concrete blocks with their foreheads, the night was not simply about showing off their big guns.
Rost was the speaker of the group Sunday night, discussing what the Power Force is all about.
As a part of their visit, Rost said they would be visiting different places including the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade held on Monday and different schools throughout Escambia and Monroe counties.
The Power Force is meant to bring people who don’t know Jesus to Him and to encourage those who do know Him to keep strong.
Other than spreading the word of God at MCC Sunday night, the Power Force group pumped the crowd with many acts of strength.
Rost ripped a Pensacola, Fla. phonebook in half like it was a piece of paper and he broke a wooden baseball bat with his arm strength. Little broke a stack of bricks with his arm and also rolled up a frying pan to where it resembled a burrito. Eskridge broke a hammer in half and also lifted a huge log above his head. And Whisneant showed the strength of his lungs when he blew up a hot water balloon until hit burst. Whisneant also broke a stack of concrete bricks with his forehead.
Atmore area residents have one more opportunity to hear the testimonies of the four men and also to see their muscles in action tonight at 7 p.m. at the McCullough Christian Center.
