American Red Cross thanks blood donors
We at the American Red Cross would like to offer our sincere thanks to the volunteer blood donors who came forth last Wednesday, April 23, 2008 for the Blood Drive at the Atmore United Methodist Church in honor of Jan Marsh. Thanks to your enthusiastic response, we collected 90 units of blood, making the drive one of the most successful in recent memory. We had 21 first time donors come in to give the gift of life. WOW!
We wanted to take this time to commemorate National Volunteer Week by offering our thanks to the countless volunteer blood donors and blood drive volunteers without whom our critical mission could not be accomplished. You embody the true spirit of volunteerism, and as such, you are the life-blood of our organization.
We are humbled by the spirit of giving which was displayed in the Atmore community on April 23, and we once again thank you for all you do in honor of patients in the more than 100 hospitals served by the American Red Cross Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Region.
Sincerely,
Elaine Howell
