Lions down Poarch, 5-1

The Lions only needed the fourth inning to put away Poarch on April 26, scoring five runs in a 5-1 route.
Eric Williams started the inning with a single and scored on a Christian Thorpe home run to make it 2-0. David Dobson followed the homer up with a single and Justin Walden and Tyler Wilson legged out back-to-back triples to make it 4-0. Wilson scored on a Jamaye Frye single to make it 5-0.
Poarch managed its only run in fifth inning when Cotton Peebles scored on a Lions error after slapping a double to lead off the inning.
White Sox 3
Braves 2
In a close battle on April 26, the White Sox narrowly defeated the Braves 3-2 in Minor League action.
Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Devon Robinson legged out a triple and scored one batter later when Ryan Johnson reached first base on a single.
Johnson led the White Sox at the plate going 3-for-3 with three singles, one RBI and one run scored. Robinson finished 2-for-3 at the dish with a triple, single and a run scored.
Marlon Lee and Freddrick Flavors chipped in with one single each for the White Sox.
Jaquerius Williams led the Braves with a home run. Jared Gibbs chipped in with two doubles, while Tra Lucus added a double and scored one run.
Lions 9
Cardinals 8
In yet another close contest on April 26, the Lions defeated the Cardinals 9-8.
David Dobson led the Lions charge with two home runs, a triple and three runs scored. Eric Williams also finished with a home run and added two singles and two runs scored.
Jamaya Frye legged out a triple, slapped two singles and scored one run for the Lions. Christian Thorpe, Justin Walden and Tyler Wilson each added a double.
Brad Quimby led the Cards with a double, two singles and one run scored. Eric McCaskill chipped in with three singles and one run scored and Maleek Salter added a double and single. Jamontrae Lee legged out a triple.
