Parents, students and teachers at Escambia County High School will receive an opportunity to meet incoming principal Harvey Means at a meet and greet Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Wisteria. The event is being hosted by the Escambia County High School Student Government Association (SGA), which plans to serve Hors d’ Oeuvres.
The SGA is asking everyone in Atmore to wear something blue on Thursday as a sign of support for the high school as it undergoes a leadership change.
Having the meet and greet just before Mr. Means officially assumes his role will allow ECHS stakeholders to meet him even before he becomes principal. Hopefully, Mr. Means will be able to begin forging the relationships he will depend on as principal next year, Smith said.
Smith also thanked the SGA’s sponsors at First National Bank and Trust, United Bank, the Atmore Advance and the Wisteria, saying without them, the event would not have been possible.
