Race fans packed Flomaton Speedway this weekend to see their favorite drivers compete in exciting races.
Brewton’s own Mark Clifton took home another checkered flag in the late model to bring his season win total to nine.
Josh Huss crossed the line behind Clifton in the runner-up position to notch another Top 5 finish with Tracy Sutton behind him in third place.
Track promoter NASCAR Ron said that Huss started off really well when the green flag dropped, but that Clifton just had the stronger car.
Chris Griffin and Bo Odom rounded out the Top 5 in fourth and fifth respectively.
David Odom took home a sixth place finish while Brian Stokes finished in seventh.
Jared Watson finished in eighth, Bernard Blackwell in ninth and Mike McGhee finished out the Top 10.
Huss continues to lead the late model point standings with 391, with his closest competitor being Griffin who has 342.
Clifton is right behind Griffin with 341 points while Tracy Sutton sits in fourth with 261 and Heath Gibson in fifth with 249.
Bobby Resmondo took home a first place finish in the street stock class on Saturday night.
Wayne Hawthorne finished in second place with Jarrod Johns right behind him in third.
Nick Scott crossed the finish line in fourth place and Bobby Townson took home a Top 5 finish.
John Jackson finished with a sixth place finish and Daniel Higdon trailed him in seventh place.
Travis Holloway took home eighth place, Michael Johnson in ninth and Rusty Turner was able to finish with a Top 10 even after taking a tumble down the front stretch.
NASCAR Ron said that Turner walked away from the accident, but was lucky considering the condition his car was in.
Resmondo’s win added to his commanding lead in the point standings, giving him 493 points with Resmondo in second with 360.
Will Findley sits in third with 337 points while Rusty Turner is in fourth with 270.
Wayne Hawthorne finishes out the Top 5 with 247 points.
Jamie Young celebrated another victory on Saturday night in the bomber class beating out runner-up Levi Wales.
Mike Wedgeworth finished in third place and Andrew Findley came in right behind him in fourth.
Claude Odom finished out the Top 5 for the bombers.
Justin Adams crossed the line in sixth place with James Bradley coming in the seventh spot.
Monty Young took home an eighth place finish, Stephen Fretwell finished in ninth and Kyle Kirkland in 10th.
J. Young leads the bomber point standings with 441 points with Young’s closest competitor Eddie Hammonds alone in second with 378.
Levi Wales is in third with 240 points, James Bradley in fourth with 215 and Ken Perry rounding out the Top 5 with 215 points.
Corey Gauge won the stinger class over Ronald Ross on Saturday at Flomaton Speedway.
Brian McCreary finished in third place with Aaron Kiaunis crossing the finish line in fourth.
Brad Johnson finished in fifth to round out the order.
NASCAR Ron said that Kiaunis and Boyington put on a great show for the crowd in the early stages.
Aaron Kiaunis leads the stinger points with 410 while Jimmy Boyington stays steady in second with 389.
Brian McCreary is in third place with 348 points and Corey Gauge sits in fourth with 325.
Ronald Ross’ 281 points are enough to have a firm grasp of fifth.
NASCAR Ron said that in all the classes the younger drivers are bringing strong performances week in and week out.
