It’s time to put on those walking shoes, get out of the house and take a “Stroll On Main Street.”
Vikki Day will host Gallery Night’s “Stroll On Main Street” Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Atmore area residents will have the opportunity to view many pieces of art as well as taste wine and other refreshments.
There will be many types of entertainment during the evening of fun including some dancing, according to Day, owner of Day Gallery on Main.
Day said the belly dancing will begin around 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. in the Day Gallery on Main. Both performances will be 10-minute sessions.
Even though the “Stroll On Main Street” event will take place at many Main Street locations, there will be several musicians featured in the Day Gallery on Main throughout the evening.
John Mascaro of Walnut Hill, Fla. will be accompanied by pianist Conrad Webber.
Mascaro is a CPA who is originally from New York City.
Mascaro’s most recent endeavor was the Greater Escambia Council for the Arts’ performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
Webber is a classically trained pianist. He is the music director of Grace Fellowship Church in Atmore.
Mascaro and Webber’s music will consist of an “eclectic mix of folk, rock and classic country,” according to Day.
Wayne Veal’s music will also be featured at the art gallery. Veal is a finger guitarist.
Veal is the pastor of the Goodway Assembly of God church.
There are many Main Street shops that will remain open next Tuesday evening to participate in the event.
Day’s Day Gallery on Main will not only be a place for entertainment. The Gallery will host an opening reception for artists Constantine Sylin and Dr. Morris Eddy.
The Day Gallery carries a variety of products, including antiques, jewelry, books, garden art and much more.
Light refreshments will be served.
Musicians will perform for the entire three hours.

The Tot Shop, located at 130 South Main St., will participate in the “Stroll On Main Street” affair.
The Tot Shop is owned by Carl Anderson and is “a landmark clothier for the young and the young at heart,” according to Day.
Local artist Jo Vickery, who specializes in children and adult portraits, will be featured at the store. For more information about The Tot Shop, call 368-3811.
The 122 South Main St. restaurant, Pintoli’s Italian Caf/, will feature artwork of Atmore folk artist Lester Holt and a Perdido Vineyards wine tasting will be held at 7 p.m.
Pintoli’s serves many Italian dishes including lasagna, pasta and delicious garlic breadsticks.

The Beans Store, located at 132 South Main St., is the place to go when you want to feel good.
Several local photographers will be featured at The Beans Store.

Across the street from Day Gallery on Main, Atmore Appliance/Western Auto and First National Bank &Trust will both participate in the event Tuesday.

Artist John Fuller will be featured.
When you cross from South Main Street to North Main Street, there will be two locations participating in the “stroll.”
Whistle Stop Grill will showcase the artwork of Schuyler Allen, while individuals who show up will enjoy tasty treats.
“Owners Joey and DeeDra Kelley have let out all the stops with their tasty foods, drinks and music,” Day said.

Earle’s Jewelers owner Wayne Dunn will be available during the evening.
Landscape artist Beth Donald will be featured at the 119 South Main jewelry store.
