Atmore's Escambia County Blue Devils travel to Mobile this week to face off against the Faith Academy Rams in their second region game of the year.
The Blue Devils (0-2,0-1) are going to Faith to try and avoid falling to 0-2 in the region and to keep away from a third straight loss.
Head coach Kyle Davis said Faith has a good football team, but added they are unknown.
Faith (1-1,0-1) is looking for its first region win of the season just like the Blue Devils, but did win their first game of the season.
Davis said he knows the game will be tough because neither team wants to lose another region game.
Faith Academy head coach Robby James said ECHS has a fast football team and added they are the fastest team the Rams have seen yet.
He added that the Blue Devils are a good football team with a lot of skill players.
After last week's tough loss to Vigor, the Blue Devils will look to correct mistakes made on special teams.
Davis said he and his staff are going to spend more time with the special teams and hope to avoid any miscues such as bad snaps on punts.
The Rams run a spread offense, but also set up in an I-formation, according to Davis, which will get the wheels turning on how to stop the two different sets.
Davis said he will prepare the defense for several game situations and hopes they continue to play as well as they have the first two weeks of our season.
He added that if the defense holds up and plays strong, it could help the Blue Devils come back to Atmore with a victory.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Faith Academy in Mobile.
