Earnest Nathan Macks

ATMORE - Earnest Nathan Macks, 88, of Atmore died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008.
He was retired from the City of Atmore, born in Monroe County on Nov. 6, 1920 to the late Jim and Minnie Macks.
His wife, Bessie Mae Macks preceded him in death.
Survivors include, two sons, Earnest Macks Jr. and wife Sylvia of Canoe and George Macks and wife Glenda of Nokomis; three daughters, Irma Jean Vestal and husband Jr., Faye Mosley and husband Ronald, Patsy Alverson and husband Roger, all of Atmore; one brother, Wilburn “Spoony” Macks of Atmore; one sister, Mattie Lou Flowers of Atmore; 15 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill cemetery. Family received friends from noon until service time Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at the Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were, Cody Fowler, Kyle Atkins, Joey Webb, Justin Webb, Eli Hines, Warren Mosley and Jacob Haskew.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
