ATMORE – Mrs. Marie Q. Coleman, 65, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at a local hospital after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Coleman was a native of Uriah and a resident of Atmore. for the past 62 years where she attended the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, David Qualls, mother, Resa Qualls Chambless, stepfather, Curtis Chambless, two sisters, Betty Carnley and Mary Luker, and a brother-in-law, Jack Frost.
Survivors include: her Husband of 47 years, Cecil Coleman of Atmore; two Sons, Richard Coleman of Flomaton, and Gary and Shawn Coleman of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Deborah and Robert Hunter of Avondale, Ariz., and Vickie and Mark Baker of Hopkinton, Iowa; five grandchildren, Tyler Coleman and Travis Coleman, both of Flomaton, Phillip Coleman of Milton, Fla., Steven Hunter,, of Avondale, Ariz. Melena Baker of Hopkinton, Iowa and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Earl Harrison officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2008 between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Sanks, Tyler Coleman, Mike Carnley, Ronnie Lehman, John Dorriety, and Phillip Coleman.
