BLUFF SPRINGS, Fla. - Mrs. Helen Moore McCraney, 85, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 at a Santa Rosa County hospital.
Mrs. McCraney was a native and lifelong resident of Bluff Springs, Fla. She loved to cook for family and friends, retired from Vanity Fair after 27 years and attended the Baptist church.
Two granddaughters, Lisa Viita and Sonja Viita, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her husband, Ezra L. McCraney of Bluff Springs, Fla.; her son, Wayne Allen of Bluff Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Patricia Bergen of Century, Fla. and Teen and Arnold Weaver of Bluff Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three brothers, John G. Moore of Morrilton, Ark., Paul W. “Pete” Moore of Bluff Springs, Fla. and Monroe Kemp Moore of Byrneville, Fla.; two sisters, Hazel Boyarski of Panama City, Fla. and Margaret Creamer of Poplar Dell, Fla. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Benny Barnes and the Rev. Sam Weaver officiating. Burial followed at Crary Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Christopher Bergen, Wayne Allen Jr., Sam Weaver, Ricky Burris, Chad Burris and Matthew Garrett.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
