United Fund should top your Christmas giving list this year
As you check off items from your list of holiday gifts for family and friends this Christmas, please remember to add a donation to United Fund of Atmore to the list.
The United Fund, an umbrella fund-raising organization for local charitable agencies, is an important part of our community's efforts to serve people of all ages.
The funds pay for everything from youth sports to senior citizens activities.
By making donation to United Fund, you are making a lasting gift that will keep on giving even when the holidays are gone.
Fundraising for the United Fund of Atmore is in full swing and board members report more than half of the 2009 goal has been raised.
According to vice president Chad Bartz $44,095 of the $75,000 goal has been raised, but encourages support from the community.
