Santa’s not the only one busy

It’s Christmas Eve and surely Santa is preparing for his sleigh ride across the world delivering toys to the good boys and girls tonight.
But Santa isn’t the only one busy this holiday season.
In the newspaper business, busy is an understatement when Christmas is used in the same sentence. And this year is a busy time in the newspaper industry, and just as in years past, it has the Advance staff working double time.
First off, we had to make sure Santa received all the letters from the children of Atmore. The letters were published in Sunday’s Advance and the letters have been shipped to Santa in the North Pole for one last look.
In addition to the newspaper you are currently reading, the Advance staff will also be working hard today to get ahead on its Sunday edition after losing one work day to the holiday. Unfortunately news never stops, and it always has us on our toes all hours of the day.
And if that wasn’t enough, the final touches are being made to the third annual Newspapers In Education Cute Child Contest Calendar available for purchase in early January.
With that said, we at the Advance would like to extend a warm thank you and a Merry Christmas to all the advertisers and devoted readers that make the newspaper a success.
