CENTURY, Fla. - Mr. Carlton Brooks “C.B.” Gresham Sr., 74, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 in Century, Fla.
C.B. was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton and a Veteran of the U.S.A.F. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nora Gresham; three brothers, Bobby Gresham, Donald Gresham and Eugene Gresham and a daughter, Glenda Joyce Gresham.
Survivors include, his wife of 15 years, Hazel Gresham of Flomaton; four sons, Carlton Brooks and Deborah Gresham Jr. of Bay Town, Texas, Sonny Ray and Kenya Gresham of Flomaton, Tony James and Angie Gresham of East Brewton and Randy and Tamula Gresham of Brewton; two stepsons, Michael McGhee of North Carolina and Nathan McGhee of Century, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, Joshua Gresham, Jason Gresham, Jeremy Gresham, Chase Smith, Heather Smith, Richard Vallery, Timothy Gresham, Miranda Gresham, Katrina McGhee, Payton Danielle McGhee, James McGhee and Tiffany McGhee; 10 great grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Cameron, Julianna, Paige, Mackenzie, Connor, Serenity, Brian and Christian; three brothers, William Gresham of Flomaton, Huey Gresham of Atlanta, Ga. and Ronald Gresham of Mississippi and five sisters, Mary Portwood, Marie Peebles and Rose Lambert, all of Flomaton, Carolyn Smith of Century, Fla. and Frances Warren of Corsa Cuna, Texas.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest cemetery Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were, Luke Peebles, Dewayne Gresham, Josh Gresham, Jason Gresham, Timothy Gresham and Derrick Mitchell.
