Clifford “Buck” Williams

URIAH - Mr. Clifford “Buck” Williams, 71, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 in Uriah.
Buck was a native of Selma, a former resident of Huxford and had lived in Uriah for the past four years. He was a retired Corrections Officer at Fountain Prison after 27 and a half years, a long distance truck driver for 12 years and attended the Enon Baptist Church. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Preceded in death by two brothers, George W. Williams and Billy Joe Priest and a sister, Doris Edith Roberts.
Survivors include, his wife, Mary Ann Williams of Uriah; his son, James Lewis Williams of Uriah; two daughters, Terri Lynn Williams of Uriah and Rosemary and Ronnie Merchant of Bratt, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Crystal Diane Williams of Huxford; four grandchildren, Coty Merchant, Austin Williams, Bailey Williams and Kayla Merchant; two brothers, Clyde D. Williams and Charles L. Williams both of McDavid, Fla. and a sister, Brenda L. Ekstrom of Bay Springs, Fla.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at the Enon cemetery in Enon, Fla. with the Rev. Richard Daniels officiating and Petty Funeral Homes, LLC directing. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were James Williams, Coty Merchant, Ronnie Merchant, Danny Paxton, Ronnie Roberts and Jesse McCullough. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Roberts, Randy Roberts and Shane Thrower.
