ATMORE - Mrs. Flora A. Crawley, 87, of Atmore died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at Atmore Community Hospital.
Mrs. Crawley was a native of Marengo County and was reared in Atmore before moving to Chicago, Ill. She was a retired power machine operator with International Plastic in Chicago. She relocated back to Atmore in 1994. She was an Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Ray Crawley; her father. Shelly Quarker, her mother, Mary Jackson; her sisters, Rosa Maryland and Rosie Lee Sharpe; her brothers, Charlie Carson Quarker, Robert Louis Quarker and Shelly Quarker Jr.
She is survived by her step mother, Annie Bell Quarker of Atmore; niece/adopted daughter, Theresa Ward of Mobile; four sisters, Mary (Bishop Purvis) McMillan of Atmore, Emma Lancaster of Brewton, Marcetta (Eddie) McCreary and Thelma (Silas) Boykin of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, William (Ella Mae) Quarker of Los Angles, Calif. and Roy (Mary) Quarker and Kenneth Quarker of Atmore.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams, officiating. Interment was held in the Pierce/Rabb cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
