FLOMATON - Mr. Frank Green Sr. 80, passed away on March 5, 2009 at a Pensacola, Fla. hospital.
Frank was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton and a Senior Deacon at the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Azzie Richburg and an infant son, Richard Carl Green.
Survivors include, his wife of 58 years, Ann Green of Flomaton; three sons, Rodney and Janice Green, Frank and Cathy Green Jr. and Tim and Michelle Green, all of Flomaton; four daughters, Diane and Russell Johnson of Flomaton, Gail and Jeff Waggoner of Houston, Texas, Donna and Matthew Castillow of Flomaton and Karen and Joey Box of Navarre, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Jarrod (Julie), Katie (Ben), Rusty (Melissa), Leslie (Eric), Kirby, Kelsey, Matt, Marc, Jacob, Brittany, Tyler and Trevor; five great grandchildren, Addison, Annabelle, Blaine, Baleighann and Blake; a brother, John Richburg of Mobile; four sisters, Thelma Deike of Huntsville, Texas, Helen Harris of Mobile, Fay Frost of Spring, Texas and Hazel McCellan of Mobile; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins loving family members and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Henderson and the Rev. Eric Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Hollywood cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were, Rusty Johnson, Jarrod Green, Matt Castillow, Kirby Green, Tyler Green, Marc Castillow, Jacob Box and Ben Lee. Honorary pallbearers were, Jimmie Carden, Cliff Givens, Lennie Godwin, Bob Burk, Earl Henderson, Rusty Burnham, Paul Howell, James Turner, Chris White, Jamie Burnham, Rowland Reaves and Pat Carden.
