Atmore T-ball hits a home run

Little sluggers took to the streets and then to the field over the weekend as the Atmore T-ball League had its opening day parade followed by three games featuring the Elite Sporting Goods Hitters, Tri-Co Electric Shockers, Atmore Dialysis Destroyers, Winn-Dixie Eagles, Alto Falcons and Atmore Utility Blue Flames.
Blue Flames 13
Eagles 8
The Atmore Utility Blue Flames burned the Winn-Dixie Eagles 13-8 on Saturday at the opening day of the Atmore T-ball League.
The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Craig Brown Jr. crossed home plate.
The Blue Flames took control of the game in the top of the second inning as Jacob Daw, Ty Jerrious Malone, Saviour Kilpatrick, Donovan Robinson, Chance James, Joshua Hadley and Terry Montgomery all crossed the plate to take the lead 7-1.
The Eagles kept the game close in their half of the second as Anthony McCants, Cameron Long, Kayla Smith, Nathan Raegan and Petey scored to make the score 7-6.
The Blue Flames sealed their win in the top of the third as Daw, Malone, Robinson, James, Smith and Hadley all scored their second runs of the game to control the game 13-6.
In the bottom of the third inning, the Eagles could only scored two runs as Raegan and Petey scored again to give the Blue Flames a 13-8 win.
Hitters 19
Falcons 3
The Elite Sporting Goods Hitters took a big swing and knocked one out of the park as they beat the Alto Falcons 19-3 on Saturday at Atmore T-Ball League’s opening day.
The Hitters controlled the entire game as they jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the second inning with Tyson Knight, Kameron Bowen, Drew Shelly, Bubba, Breanna McGowan and Tomorrion Knight all crossing the plate. Randal Bonds scored for the Falcons.
The scoring for the Hitters continued in the latter innings as McGowan, Tomorrion Knight, Tyson Knight, Kameron Bowen, Drew Shelly and Bubba scored their second runs of the game to take a 12-1 lead. Maddie Presley scored for the Falcons in the second inning to make the game 12-2.
Tyson Knight, Bowen, Shelly, Bubba, McGowan, Edward Williams and Chase Bell all scored in the top of the third to take a commanding 19-2 lead. Precious Brooks scored in the bottom of the third for the Falcons final run.
Destroyers 19
Shockers 11
The Atmore Dialysis Destroyers cruised to a victory over the Tri-Co Electric Shockers 19-11 on Saturday at the Atmore T-Ball League’s opening day ceremonies.
The Destroyers won off runs scored by Sean Smith, Chaz McGhee, Paxton Hobbs, Bryant Quimby, Logan Chavers, NaKieyah Robinson, Jack Edwards and Jalen Barnes.
The Shockers runs were scored by Peyton Gilchrist, Deonta Stots, Khedsie Craft, Jaylen Black, Dijon Crenshaw and Jeffery Wilson.
