The Escambia County Blue Devils suffered a 10-2 loss to rival T.R. Miller in Brewton on Monday.
Lady Tiger pitcher Miranda Anderson pitched a no-hitter for T.R. Miller in the win.
Anderson allowed no hits, walked one and struck out six in the five inning complete game.
The no-hitter was the second for Anderson in as many games and was just one play away from a perfect game.
Anderson issued a walk in the first inning on Monday to negate the perfect game. Along with the second no-hitter in as many games, Anderson just missed a perfect game against J.U. Blacksher earlier as a Lady Tiger error ended the perfect game.
The Lady Tigers scored one run in the first inning, six in the second inning and four in the fourth inning to get the 11-run win.
Janel McCorvey was 2-for-3 for the Lady Tigers with an inside-the-park homerun.
Brandi Kennedy was 1-for-1 with two RBIs and a double and Natalie Neal was 1-for-2 with an RBI in the win.
Taylor Guthrie was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Leah Brundidge was 2-for-3 with a single, a double and one RBI.
Sara Lee was 1-for-3 with a double in the win over Atmore.
"We've struggled with Escambia County a little the last couple of years. They are very athletic and they are usually a very good hitting team,” T.R. Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “Miranda Anderson was placing the ball very well today and the defense behind her was rock solid. Pitchers don't throw no-hitters without great defenses behind them. I always tell the girls to make all of your routine plays and make a couple of great plays and you will give yourself a chance to win. We had 3 or 4 great plays in this game that helped us win and help save the no-hitter."
