ATMORE - Anne Luverne Etheridge, 73, of Atmore died Friday, April, 24, 2009 in Pensacola.
She was retired from the State of Alabama, with the Food Stamp Office, born in Escambia County on Sept. 26, 1935 to the late Joseph Cebron and Cora Belle Daw Griffith.
Two sons, Michael Lenard Etheridge and Alton Bernard Etheridge, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors are, husband, Alton Bernard “Buddy” Etheridge; three sons, Jimmy Edward Etheridge, William Joseph “Billy” Etheridge and wife Andrea and Jerry Alan Etheridge and wife Fay, all of Atmore; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Etheridge of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one brother, Tommy Griffith of Tenn.; two sisters, Glennie Godwin of Brewton and Ruth Lessard of Florida; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2009 from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Level cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, April 29, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
