This weekend be sure to help Chuck Stevens Chevrolet support Atmore Cal Ripken by purchasing a raffle ticket for a drawing for one of two vehicles as the local car dealership prepares to sponsor the city’s youth baseball league.
Chuck Stevens, in conjunction with other Chevrolet dealers across the Southeast, is going to give back to the community by making a donation to the youth baseball leagues in their respective communities.
During Mayfest and opening day for Cal Ripken on May 2, Chuck Stevens will have booths set up selling raffle tickets that will be put into a drawing with the other Chevy dealerships for a Chevy Malibu and a Chevy Traverse.
Chad Bartz, Chuck Stevens Chevrolet general manager, said the dealership is giving two donations to the league.
As a part of the equipment packages, the teams that receive them will get a duffle bag, clipboard and a pail to keep their baseballs in.
Bartz said that his dealership will also give out other prizes to the league.
With a possible $10,000 going to Atmore Cal Ripken, the league could benefit from the great sponsorship it receives from Chuck Stevens and its other team sponsors.
Murray Johnson, district commissioner for Atmore Cal Ripken, said it’s a great thing that Atmore’s Chevrolet dealership is doing.
There will be a booth set up at Mayfest and another at Tom Byrne Park on May 2 selling the chances to win the vehicles.
Opening day ceremonies for Cal Ripken start at 10 a.m. with this year’s Miss Bambino Laci Flowers throwing out the first pitch. Games begin at 10:30 a.m.
