Whether you were looking for a relaxing day spent watching live entertainment at the park or something a little more active, the 36th annual Mayfest festival offered a wide variety of fun for all ages.
Atmore’s annual spring festival was held Saturday at Tom Byrne Park drawing both community members and visitors to enjoy the weather and many activities.
Vickery said some of the big hits of the day were the children’s activities as well as the food and arts and crafts vendors.
Atmore Visual Arts Association hosted Art in the Park during Mayfest offering even more activities for children.
Day Gallery owner and member of AVAA Vikki Day said offering creative activities for children is not only something fun for them, but important for their mental development as well.
Vickery said another highlight of the day was the live entertainment offered, which ranged from musicians to baton twirlers, cheerleaders and pageant performers.
Mayfest was organized by the chamber and sponsored by Gulf Winds Federal Credit Union and Pepsi Bottling Company of Atmore.
