Tigers, Cardinals win

Offenses powered the Cal Ripken Minor League game between the Kirk Insurance Tigers and Poarch-Gray as the Tigers pulled out a 10-9 victory Monday night at Tom Byrne Park.
The Tigers started the game with a quick three runs as Jackson Breckenridge, Eric McKaskil and Adrian King all ripped singles and crossed the plate to help their team take the lead.
In the bottom of the inning, Poarch-Gray answered back with a lead grabbing four runs as Luke Martin, Tucker Spence, Corey Bailey and Bailey Bass all scored runs. Martin and Spence reached base on singles, while Bailey ripped a double and Bass knocked a triple into play.
Bryant Quimby helped his team tie the game in the second inning as he reached an extra base on a double and scored on Jarrett Nelson’s double.
Poarch took the lead again in the second inning as Martin, Spence, Bailey and Bass all scored their second runs of the game to make the score 8-4. Spence led Poarch with his bat in the inning notching an extra-base hit reaching base on a double.
The Tigers pulled within one run in the third inning as Sam Smith, Breckenridge and Eric McKaskil all made it around the base path to score.
Poarch scored its final run of the game in the third inning as Hunter Finley hit a single and later scored on a single by Martin.
The Tigers completed their comeback in the top of the fifth as Dejion Crenshaw, Saviour Kilpatrick and Smith all scored to pull out the one-run victory.
Cardinals 11
White Sox 4
The Cal Ripken Minor League game between the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals and the State Farm Insurance White Sox quickly got out of hand as the Cardinals breezed to an 11-4 win Monday at Tom Byrne Park.
Cole Wynn started things for the Cardinals as he reached base on a hit and scored the first run of the game.
Kameron Bown answered back with a hit of his own for the White Sox in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at one.
In the second inning, Brandon Gulsby, Shavoris Williams, Joshua Booker and Derrick Arnold all scored for the Cardinals to give their team a comfortable 5-1 lead.
They added to their lead in the fourth inning as Jaquarious Williams, Gulsby and Shavoris Williams all getting extra-base hits and scoring runs to give the Cardinals an 8-1 lead.
The White Sox ate into the Cardinals lead in the bottom of the fourth with three runs as Bowen, Sean Marshall and Tyler Wilson all scored to make the score 8-4.
The game would be put away in the fifth inning as Ethan Patacsil, Wynn, Jabryce Hooks and Jaquarious Williams all scored to make the final count 12-4 in favor of the Cardinals.
