GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Dorothy Webb Roden, 83, of Gainesville, Fla. died Sunday June 28, 2009 in Gainesville.
She was a homemaker, born in Atmore on March 25, 1926 to the late Dr. A.P. and Ida Stewart Webb. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, Rex A. Roden; an infant son, six brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two daughters, Celia R. Dillon of Gainesville, Fla. and Priscilla McBride of Bidwell, Ohio; one brother, John M. Webb of Daphne; three grandchildren, Christiana Faith Wade of Gainesville, Fla., Rex A. McBride and Sarah Jane Pratt, both of Bidwell, Ohio; great grandchildren, Joan Wade, Katie Wade, William Wade and Jack Wade, all of Gainesville, Fla. and Madison Leigh Pratt of Bidwell, Ohio.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
